Ms. Christina joined Brookfield Academy in 2016 as an Associate Teacher and quickly became a valued member of the team. Her passion for Montessori education and her natural ability to connect with children led her to become a lead Children's House Teacher in 2019. In this role, Ms. Christina has created a nurturing and engaging learning environment where her students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. She brings creativity, patience, and dedication to her classroom, ensuring that each child’s individual needs are met and that they feel encouraged to explore and grow.
Ms. Christina attended Northwestern Michigan College and Baker College in pursuit of an elementary education degree. This foundational academic experience gave her a solid understanding of child development and education, which she further built upon by receiving her Pre-Primary Montessori certification from the Michigan Montessori Teacher Education Center. Her Montessori training has significantly shaped her approach to teaching, allowing her to provide a child-centered learning experience that fosters independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Christina enjoys a variety of activities that help her stay balanced and connected to her family and community. She loves riding bikes, whether on leisurely rides or more adventurous trails, and is always eager to try new foods, exploring different cuisines and flavors. As a passionate sports fan, Ms. Christina enjoys watching Detroit sports teams, cheering on the Tigers, Lions, Red Wings, and Pistons. These moments provide her with both excitement and a sense of camaraderie with others who share her enthusiasm.
Ms. Christina is also a dedicated family person. She enjoys spending quality time with her son, husband, and two Dachshunds, finding joy in their shared experiences and adventures. Her love for outdoor activities, food, and sports, combined with her strong family bond, make Ms. Christina a well-rounded and approachable teacher. Her positive energy, commitment to Montessori principles, and nurturing nature make her a beloved member of the Brookfield Academy community.
