My Background
Profesor Julio was born and raised in Burgos, Spain, where he developed a deep appreciation for both his heritage and the world of design. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from Burgos University and later pursued a Teacher Certification at IFSS Burgos. With his qualifications, he worked both as a designer and as a design instructor, where he discovered his passion for teaching.
After some time, Julio shifted his focus to teaching Spanish, a subject close to his heart. He became a Spanish teacher and tutor, finding great fulfillment in sharing his native language with others. As a proud Spaniard, Julio is honored to pass on his culture and language to the next generation, helping his students connect with the rich history, traditions, and beauty of the Spanish-speaking world. His dedication to teaching his language has only grown over the years, and he is passionate about inspiring a love for the Spanish language and culture in his students.
Outside of the classroom, Julio enjoys several hobbies that allow him to express his creativity and stay active. He is an avid reader, often immersing himself in books written in both Spanish and English, which helps him maintain a strong connection to both his native language and his love for literature. Drawing and painting, whether by hand or digitally, are artistic pursuits that keep his creative spirit alive. In addition to his artistic endeavors, Julio enjoys playing basketball and soccer, sports that allow him to stay physically active and engage in friendly competition. Above all, Julio values spending quality time with his family, cherishing the moments shared with them.
As a teacher, Julio is committed to providing his students with an enriching and engaging experience. He believes in the power of language to open doors to new opportunities and cultural understanding, and he works hard to create a classroom environment that fosters a love of learning. Julio’s dedication to his students, his culture, and his language is what makes him a passionate and inspiring educator at Brookfield Academy.
