Mrs. Klein is the lead Math, Science, and Social Studies teacher for the 2nd and 3rd grade classes at Brookfield Academy. She brings a unique and diverse set of experiences to her teaching role, which allows her to connect with her students in meaningful ways. Mrs. Klein holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, a field where she developed a strong foundation in problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills. However, it was through homeschooling her own children for 16 years that Mrs. Klein discovered her true passion for teaching. During this time, she gained invaluable hands-on experience and learned firsthand the joys and challenges of guiding young minds. As a result, she decided to earn her teaching certificate with an endorsement in Elementary Education, further solidifying her commitment to education. While Mrs. Klein grew up just a few miles from Brookfield Academy, her life experiences have taken her far and wide. She spent 9 years living overseas in Thailand, where she gained a global perspective on education, culture, and the importance of adaptability. Most recently, she lived in West Michigan for 6 years, where she continued to hone her teaching skills and connect with a diverse group of students. These experiences have deeply influenced her teaching philosophy, shaping her belief in meeting each child where they are in their learning journey. She is dedicated to creating a warm and inclusive environment in which every child feels valued and supported as they grow academically and personally. Mrs. Klein’s approach to teaching goes beyond just delivering lessons. She is passionate about inspiring her students to become lifelong learners by sparking their curiosity and fostering creativity. She believes that when students are encouraged to explore new ideas and think critically, they develop a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. Her classroom is a place where students feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and approach challenges with confidence. By creating an engaging and stimulating environment, Mrs. Klein works hard to help each student realize their full potential. In her free time, Mrs. Klein enjoys playing strategy games, which allow her to relax and use her problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging way. She also loves to go on adventures with her family, whether it’s exploring new places, trying new activities, or simply spending quality time together. Mrs. Klein is very excited to join the Brookfield Academy community and looks forward to contributing her diverse experiences, skills, and passion for teaching to the school. She is committed to making a positive impact on her students and fostering a love of learning that will stay with them throughout their lives.
