My Background
Ms. Zaira is a dedicated Associate Teacher at Brookfield Academy, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. She holds a Master's Degree in Psychology from the University of Palermo in Italy, which has provided her with a strong foundation in understanding child development, behavior, and the psychological needs of young learners. In addition to her degree, Ms. Zaira has specialized training in Counseling, giving her a unique skill set in supporting the emotional well-being of children and helping them navigate social and emotional challenges.
With years of experience working with children and their families, Ms. Zaira is deeply committed to fostering a positive and nurturing environment where children can thrive. She has worked with various age groups and has a passion for helping children explore their natural interests and talents. Her goal is to guide children in a way that encourages curiosity, self-expression, and personal growth, helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed both academically and emotionally. Ms. Zaira finds great joy in being a part of each child’s unique journey, witnessing their growth and progress as they discover the world around them.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Zaira cherishes spending time with her two children. Family is incredibly important to her, and she values the time she can spend nurturing and bonding with them. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and baking, hobbies that allow her to express her creativity and share delicious meals with her family. She finds cooking to be a rewarding and therapeutic activity, and it is something she loves to do in the company of her loved ones.
Ms. Zaira's passion for working with children, her strong educational background, and her dedication to creating a supportive environment for her students make her a valuable member of the Brookfield Academy community. Her approach to teaching is centered on empathy, understanding, and encouragement, which helps children feel safe and motivated to explore their own potential. As she says, “It is great for me working with children, to guide them to explore their natural interests and be part of their growing path,” a sentiment that reflects her commitment to making a meaningful impact in the lives of the children she works with.
